HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION
without getting overwhelmed

At your wedding, your engagement only happens once! Let's make the best of them and get some high-quality pictures that you can enjoy for the rest of your life.
The engagement session is one of my favorite parts of our time together because it gives you both a chance to be in front of our cameras before you get married, which is going to make your wedding day experience feel so smooth, seamless, and comfortable. Not only that, but we get to create something so special together.
I created this guide for you and packed it with some good tips that will help you prepare for your engagement experience, so let’s dive right in!
1. LOCATION
Think about a place that is sentimental to you, perhaps a local park where you first met your soon-to-be spouse, consider a location that is meaningful to you or let your photographer give you recommendations!
Depending on the location that you would love, it could be a City feel type of location, a trendy spot around town, it could be an outdoor location with a beautiful backdrop, there are plenty of options for you to choose!
2. OUTFITS
Make sure you feel comfortable, most couples chose two outfits. Your outfits will look the most cohesive on camera when the color palette and wardrobe pieces coordinate, but don’t actually “match.” Think about what fits together. I can give you recommendations on a palette of colors and what to photograph beautifully in front of the camera!
There is no such thing as being too dressed up!
3. HAIR & MAKEUP
It will make you look the best and you don't have to stress out about getting it done yourself. Makeup trials on the same day as a photo shoot would always be a great idea!

4. SHOW OFF YOUR BEAUTIFUL RING!
You must already be proud of the gorgeous engagement ring he chose for you! Make sure it is clean and you have your nails done.
4. PLAN A DATE
You guys deserve a date night just for the two of you!
Make dinner plans and go for a drink, you already look beautiful and dressed up! It’s time to relax for a little while, I know how overwhelming your wedding planning can be!
